FFF are coming from Portugal

Posted by Bob ...
Our friends at Fuck for Forest tell me they are coming to us as soon as they get back from the Boom Festival in Portugal. Leona and Tommy have been a few times now but Natty, their new helper, will be making her first visit. They are also hoping that Charity, one of the regular contributors to Porn Aid will be with them too. Tommy had sex with 8 willing volunteers last time, this time he hopes for more! But maybe Leona and Natty will want some fun too!

Feature in Metro

Posted by Tuppy Owens ...
The Night of the Senses is featured in the August 27th edition of Metro, London's free paper, with a quiz and a competition to come up with a spanking new name for the Ball. Entries are flooding in, and a selection will be made and announced in next Wednesday's MetroSexual.

APOLOGY TO WHEELCHAIR USERS AND PEOPLE WITH MOBILITY IMPAIRMENTS

Posted by Alison Wheeler ...
We are sad to announce that our Ball this year at Mass has become unsuitable for wheelchair users and most people with mobility impairments, because the lift has broken down. There had been hopes it could be repaired in time but it is now known that it will take two months to repair.

Although Babalou is on the flat, it would become an unworkable traffic jam if all our regular wheelchair-using guests were concentrated in this room, plus there is only a single disabled toilet there (in the gents).

We are therefore apologising to wheelchair users that we can only admit a few people who are happy to remain in Babalou (and the outdoor terrace) for the entire night. This will be on a first-come basis.

Those with mobility impairment not using chairs (and those who are light and don't mind being lifted / carried) should know that the Dungeon and Playroom are situated on the first floor. The Dance Room, Café Shebeen, the Erotic Awards Show, Cabaret, Boys Back Room, Room of Riotous Pleasures (Greedy Girls), Dark Room, Photo Booth and Massage Garden are on the third Floor, a long way up a spiral marble staircase.

The only wheelchair-accessible features of the Ball will be: Hospitality Desk, Calabar Café, Sensuality Chamber (couples only), Fuck for Forest, Women's Womb, Tantric Cavern, Salon of the Senses, Breast Fondling, Cautious Caning, Lap Dancing, Temporary Tattoos, Novice Avenue, the Erotic Awards Exhibition, Faerie Circle, International Union of Sex Workers' Marquee, Dressing Up Shoppe and the Changing Room.

Bi-Curious Men Cubicle ?

Posted by Tuppy Owens ...
We still have some space in Novice Avenue for two or three more alcoves for people to try new things. One idea is having a space for men to try something really mild with another man - what do you think everyone?

Thanks to a forthcoming feature in the Irish Independent, we should be getting even more mad Irish guests joining us this year - they are always loads of fun, and know how to party.

Ball gets brilliant new Artistic Designer

Posted by Tuppy Owens ...
The Night of the Senses is honoured to have the help of Robin Whitmore, who designed and coordinated the brilliant night Gay Shame run by Duckie after Gay Pride this year. Robin will be ensuring our event looks and feel fabulous, everything works together and there is a new element of surprise and humour.

One of this year's finalists in our Academic category, Dr. Lucy Robinson, has been blogging about our event on the website of Manchester University Press, who published her book 'Gay Men and the Left in Post War Britain: how the personal got political'.
She has some great things to say about the awards so have a peep at her blog here
